Here are some samples of my slowly growing collection of 'orphaned' photographs, abandoned by either their makers, their subjects, and/or their owners, and left unprotected on the streets, on fleamarkets, and in junk stores.
It would be interesting if any information related to the content and/or production of the photographs shows up at some point. If not - no reason for sorrow - we will still be able to enjoy the mysteries of nearly lost images, and project our own fantasies into them.
The original photographs were found and bought in Brussels, Amsterdam, Nijmegen, Stockholm, Berlin, Istanbul, and New York City between 2004 and 2009.
